Jonathan Shofner was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where he attended Dallas Christian High School and spent time with his parents, brother, nieces, and grandmother. A successful financial advisor in her own right, Jonathan’s grandmother played a major role in inspiring him to pursue the same path.
He attended The University of North Texas before obtaining his Series 7, 66, life and health insurance licenses and went on to earn his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation. Now a seasoned financial professional with more than a decade of experience working in wealth management, Jonathan has served in financial advisory roles for a smaller, tax-focused financial planning firm as well as for large entities like Merril Lynch. He also worked on the broker-dealer side of the industry, supporting advisors as they form partnerships with tax professionals and seek to elevate their client experience.
Jonathan and his partner, Shelby, relocated to Willmar, Minnesota in 2026, and together, they enjoy staying active and playing with their dog, Arlo. He spends time riding motorcycles, golfing, playing pickleball, and doing CrossFit.
