When companies rebrand, it’s often because they want people to view them a certain way. In our situation, Taatjes Financial Group has always been committed to and operated under the principles of stewardship. For us,the company’s recent rebrand isn’t about realigning our work to a new name but rather aligning the name to how we’ve always worked.
Managing wealth is only a piece of stewardship, in my opinion. I view stewardship as intentional management of everything we’ve been given—our time, talent, and treasure. It requires that we ask, “How am I being a good steward of my life, my family, my marriage, and other relationships?”Even in the accumulation stage of building wealth, we are still stewards of our time and talent, and we have a responsibility to use them wisely.
It’s always hard to see people struggle with money, but it’s equally sad to see people with money struggling because they don’t have a plan or purpose for it. We all need a reason that drives what we do.The most rewarding part of my work is helping clients understand how to utilize the wealth they’ve grown in a way that improves the world around us. Because although money is never the end goal, it is a tool that can help us build a meaningful and impactful life, and I’m excited that our new name better communicates our firm's purposeful approach to financial planning.
