The idea of stewardship began early in my life. Growing up on a farm, we were taught the value of hard work and dedication. It was engrained in me as a kid that decisions we make today will have an impact on tomorrow. The crops we choose to plant and how we care for the land affect the outcome of future harvests as well as future generations. Even participating in 4-H and FFA taught me the importance of consistency in caring for what’s been entrusted to us, and Ibring these values to work with me every day.
Every client has a different financial plan because they all have different goals. My job as their financial advisor is to get to the heart of what’s most important to them and help steward assets to enrich their lives and make the greatest impact possible on others. Our work extends far beyond financial statements or the stock market’s ups and downs because money is just one part of wealth. We help clients steward their time and talent, too—not just their treasure.
Changing our firm’s name from Taatjes Financial Group to Stewards Planning Group is not a decision made or owned by only our founder; it’s important to each of us. Although nothing will change about what I do for clients, the new name better reflects how we have always approached serving them.
